Real Estate & Some Fun Facts

This past weekend my fiancée and I finally made the decision we have wanted to do since we got our first dog. And that is get a second dog! We wanted to get one while our dog was still young enough to want to play. Unfortunately for us we bought the cutest puppy of all time who happens to be a schizophrenic Piranha and our other dog is a sloth who hates puppies. So these next few months are going to be more interesting. Wish us luck!

Song of the Week

July - Noah Cyrus

Today in History: Rookie of the Year

On this date in 1985 Bulls legend and just overall legend, Michael Jordan, won the NBA Rookie of the Year award. If the rookie of the year award was able to be given out more than once, he probably would've won every year of his career. But that takes out the meaning of the year rookie. Jordan would go on to have arguably the best NBA careers in history. Giving the Bulls 6 NBA championship titles in two separate three-peats. With a small gap for him to play on the White Sox for the MLB. His deal with Nike lead him to be one of the first athlete billionaires. Separately he has also been trying to sell his house in Highland Park for almost 14 years and has dropped the price millions of dollars if anyone is interested in buying it, I would love to represent you!

A Look at the Market: Wicker Park

Today we are going to look into the Wicker Park market over the last 10 years. Specifically 2 bed, 2 bath condos. Outside of Lincoln Park this is probably the second most common search for homes I do for clients because I have a lot of clients that rent here as well. The graph below will be of the 60647 zip code which also includes Logan Square and Bucktown and goes all the way to Pulaski. People looking in Wicker Park tend to be open to looking at Logan all the way down to Ukrainian Village because they have very similar neighborhood feels and are west of the highway.

Coming to the Market Soon: 2847 N. Milwaukee ave. Unit 3B

This week we are going to be looking at 2487 N. Milwaukee unit #3B which is currently listed on the Private Market. This home is located right on Milwaukee and steps away from Logan Square Park. Which means it is steps away, but importantly not on, the Logan Square farmers market. Which I believe is the best farmers market in the city. It is currently listed at $865,000 and is a 3 bed, 2 bath with garage parking. For the neighborhood, this is definitely on the higher end, but for new construction and location it falls in line. The home has tons of natural light with its massive artistic windows inspired by Brooklyn architecture. I love cooking so the kitchen really caught my eye. A huge marble island with a breakfast bar and tons of space to cook. And one of the coolest parts about this building is that the elevator goes directly to every unit. For those that don't know, the private market is something that only Realtors have access to. It is a place where Realtors will post their listings before actually going live. This way they can test their market price without actually being on the market which helps their overall "market time".
